The ATLAS S 1 is the most common hydraulic prop. Simple, solid and reliable it can be easily recognized due to the valve inlet positioned at the upper end under the superior support (head piece). Its extended height ranges from 1 m up to 2.5 m. We have strokes between 330 mm and 900 mm. The nominal capacity is 400 KN. If other heights are required, there are foot extensions available.
The ATLAS S hydraulic props are designed to work in the harsh environment of underground mines. The ATLAS S hydraulic props are heavy duty products that in combination with GSA link bars, or other kind of beams support the roof of several types of rooms, intersections etc.
The ATLAS S hydraulic props are operated through the ATLAS V valve cartridges both having massive construction and clever solutions in order to provide a safe and reliable product for underground.
GEROM designs and manufactures five types of hydraulic props. Their range is quite large, but even so, some dimensions such as: Opened Height, Stroke and Closed Height could be changed according to our customer requirements, within some limits certainly.
The ATLAS S hydraulic props are roll-polished, chrome and zinc coated. The piston seals are custom designed assuring a long life and high reliability.
Foot extensions are also available.
The ATLAS S 3 is a double stroke hydraulic prop. It looks like two props welded together, having at the middle the valve cartridge inlet. Its bidirectional construction allows extended heights from 3.45 m to 5.44 m. The prop can be fitted with 2 superior (head) or 2 inferior (bottom plate) supports or with a combination, upon customer’s will.
The ATLAS PM hydraulic prop is completely different. Inside the hydraulic prop is placed a pump that creates the pressure to operate. This is a kind of self driven prop; it does not need a hydraulic power supply, so it can be used in remote areas. The nominal capacity is of 400 KN and the extended height ranges from 1.3 m to 3.17 m.
