Open circuit hydraulic props are for the use in underground mining face roof supports, mainly in longwall faces where together with articulated caps are forming the supporting pillars specific to for individual face roof support.
The open circuit hydraulic prop offers the three main functions needed: setting, safety and discharge, using a setting pistol of "PECO" type and a special construction discharge key.
